The Albertsons Companies Foundation along with Albertsons Executives announced today the distribution of charity dollars from the Mondelez Tickets Support Charity Program by which 100% of all ticket sales from the 34th annual Albertsons Boise Open presented by Chevron were given to local charities. Forty local Treasure Valley charities received donations from the event thanks to the Mondelez Tickets Support Charity Program which allowed ticket purchasers to choose which local charity would receive 100% of the money from their ticket purchase. Albertsons Intermountain Division President, John Colgrove, and Mondelez Customer Vice President, Rick Swearingen, met with five of the benefitting charities today to hand deliver their donations:
In total, the 2023 Albertsons Boise Open presented by Chevron generated a Korn Ferry Tour charity record of more than $3 Million for Charities. The Albertsons Companies Foundation will continue to distribute funds from the 2023 Albertsons Boise Open presented by Chevron throughout the year. “Albertsons and the Albertsons Companies Foundation are very excited about the success of the 2023 Albertsons Boise Open presented by Chevron and the huge amount of money it raised for charities thanks to the support of our local fans, amazing sponsors and loyal volunteers,” said Albertsons Division President, John Colgrove. “We are thrilled to support local Treasure Valley charities through the Mondelez Tickets Support Charity program in such a big way.” The representatives from the local charities in attendance were very excited about the positive impact the funds will have on their organizations. The Faces of Hope Foundation and the Idaho Humane Society are two examples of organizations that will be able to greatly extend their services due to the increase in funding. "This incredible donation ensures that Faces of Hope Foundation will be able to support every victim in need,” said Paige Dinger, Executive Director of the Faces of Hope Foundation. “As a result, our dedicated team can provide help, hope, and healing to those who experienced domestic violence, sexual abuse, child abuse, elder abuse, human trafficking, and stalking. Faces of Hope Foundation is grateful to Albertsons, and the Albertsons Boise Open presented by Chevron for its commitment to providing vital support to essential organizations that make a difference in the lives of so many in our community.” “The Idaho Humane Society would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Albertsons for their continued support through the Boise Open and the Mondelez Tickets Support Charity program and their generosity to many Idaho nonprofits. We are profoundly thankful to our community for selecting our shelter as a recipient of funding, empowering us to extend care to more than 10,000 animals annually entering our doors. This support allows us to create countless 'happily ever afters' offering compassionate second chances for pets and the people who love them,” said Dr. Jeff Rosenthal, CEO of the Idaho Humane Society. The 35th annual Albertsons Boise Open presented by Chevron will take place August 22-25, and feature four days of Korn Ferry Tour Finals golf and 3 nights of amazing concerts at Hillcrest Country Club.
