Ross Steelman declared TOURBound with victory at Albertsons Boise Open presented by Chevron

Steelman follows Doc Redman as second player to clinch PGA TOUR membership for 2027 season

BOISE, Idaho – With a three-stroke victory Sunday at the Albertsons Boise Open presented by Chevron, Ross Steelman earned his second Korn Ferry Tour title and rose to No. 1 on the 2026 Korn Ferry Tour Points List, following Doc Redman as the second player declared TOURBound and assured of PGA TOUR membership for the 2027 season.

Steelman, who earned his first Korn Ferry Tour title last month at The Blue Championship, birdied four of the first five holes en route to a 7-under 64 in the final round. Steelman’s winning total of 27-under 257 tied the 10th-lowest 72-hole score in Korn Ferry Tour history.

Steelman will officially receive his first PGA TOUR card at the season-ending Korn Ferry Tour Championship presented by Virginia’s Richmond Region, scheduled for October 8-11 at The Federal Club in Glen Allen, Virginia.

Playing a fourth consecutive year on the Korn Ferry Tour, Steelman vaulted into the top 25 of the 2026 Korn Ferry Tour Points List with a runner-up finish at the UNC Health Championship, where he lost a playoff after Alvaro Ortiz birdied the final two holes of regulation. Four starts later, Steelman earned his first Korn Ferry Tour win at The Blue Championship. Two weeks later, Steelman finished solo third at the Evans Scholars Invitational and recorded the sixth hole-in-one on a par 4 in Korn Ferry Tour history.

Prior to earning Korn Ferry Tour membership with a No. 4 finish in the 2023 PGA TOUR University Ranking, the Columbia, Missouri native played two and a half seasons at University of Missouri and transferred to Georgia Tech for his final two seasons of eligibility. Steelman won twice at Missouri and later finished T2 individually at the 2023 NCAA Championship as he led Georgia Tech to a national runner-up finish.

In his first full seasons on Tour, Steelman finished Nos. 56 and 32 on the Korn Ferry Tour Points List in 2024 and 2025, respectively, maintaining full status into the 2026 season.

Steelman’s best finish in four PGA TOUR starts was T25 as an open qualifier at the 2025 CJ CUP Byron Nelson.

• Finished No. 56 on the 2024 Korn Ferry Tour Points List in his first full season on Tour
• Finished No. 4 in the 2023 PGA TOUR University Ranking after two and a half seasons at University of Missouri (2019-21) and two seasons at Georgia Tech (2021-23); he notably finished T2 at the 2023 NCAA Championship
