Today at Hillcrest Country Club, the Albertsons Boise Open presented by Chevron and Jeff Sanders Entertainment hosted 150 members of the media, tournament sponsors, media partners, Hillcrest CC Board President and Albertsons Executives for the official 2026 Media Day hosted by Coca-Cola. The event included tournament and charity updates from Albertsons Companies Mountain West Division President, Brad Street and Jeff Sanders Entertainment (JSE) CEO, Jeff Sanders as well as a Q&A with long-time NBC Golf broadcaster, Steve Sands.

As part of the press conference, Sanders announced the two Sponsor’s Invitations for this year’s tournament that will go to Caldwell native and Boise State Alum Tyler Aldridge and John Daly II, the son of 2-time Major Champion and fan favorite, John Daly.

Tyler Aldridge, who was born in Caldwell, Idaho and currently lives and plays out of Nampa, ID, was a two-time state high school champion in Idaho prior to attending Boise State University and playing on the BSU golf team. He turned professional in 2004 and played primarily on the Korn Ferry Tour and PGA TOUR between 2008 – 2018. He has played in the Albertsons Boise Open presented by Chevron seven times with his best finish being a T24 in 2016.

Tyler has very generously pledged to donate all prize money he wins in the Boise Open back to local charities in support of junior golf.

John Daly II who first attended the Albertsons Boise Open in 2011 to watch his father, John Daly, compete in the tournament, turned professional earlier this month at the age of twenty-two. He played his collegiate golf at the University of Arkansas before turning professional. He has played in one PGA TOUR and one Korn Ferry Tour event this year with his best finish at T37 in the PGA TOUR Puerto Rico Open in March.

“Joh Daly II has a bright future in professional golf. He hits it a mile. Just like his father, he will be a fan favorite,” said Sanders. “Tyler is a great player and a great story. Homegrown with a long-standing local history. We are excited to see the Boise fans rally behind him as he plays for local charities.”

Albertsons Mountain West Division President, Brad Street spoke about the Albertsons Boise Open’s rich history of supporting charity, raising over $42 Million since 1990. He explained that once again 100% of all tickets sales will support local charities thanks to the Mondelez Tickets Support Charity Program. All ticket purchasers will select one of 40 local charities that their ticket purchase will support.

Following Street, Albertsons Boise Open presented by Chevron Executive Director, Jeff Sanders, interviewed Steve Sands about golfs hottest topics along with a Q&A segment for those in attendance.
