Tournament Provides Over $1 Million To Charity Again This Year
Boise, Idaho -– With the culmination of the Albertsons Boise Open presented by Kraft today, Executive Director Jeff Sanders is happy to announce that once again this year, the tournament will provide over one million dollars in charitable contributions. The total amount that will go to charity this year is $1,076,000.
Mike Clawson, President of Albertsons Intermountain West Division said, “In this economy, we are thrilled to be able to provide over one million dollars to charity once again. Thank you to all in the Boise community for making it possible – and to Sara Lee and all of the local charities for their hard work in selling tournament tickets as part of the TICKETS Fore CHARITY program. This year’s TICKETS Fore CHARITY program generated over $725,000 for Boise charities. Our vendor partners, local sponsors, media partners, loyal volunteers and golf fans all played key roles in delivering this phenomenal result for charity, and we are grateful to all of them.”

RE/MAX World Long Drive Champion Jamie Sadlowski has accepted a sponsor invitation from Albertsons to stay and compete in the 22nd Albertsons Boise Open presented by Kraft September 15-18 after the Michelob Ultra “Battle of the Big Guns” Shoot-Out on Monday the 12th. During the Monday Shoot-Out, he will compete against John Daly in a head-to-head competition at Hillcrest CC starting at 3 pm. Sadlowski will compete for the YMCA Activate Treasure Valley Campaign and Daly the men’s and women’s golf programs at BSU. He will tee it up on Thursday in the tournament.

Boise, Idaho — Mike Clawson, Albertsons president, Intermountain West Division, announced today the 2010 Albertsons Boise Open presented by Kraft generated more than $1 million for charity for the fourth straight year. In all, more than 100 non-profit organizations in the Treasure Valley will benefit from the event. The tournament, an annual event on the PGA TOUR’s Nationwide Tour, has now raised more than $11.8 million for charity in its 21-year history – that’s more money generated for charity than by any other Nationwide Tour event.

STORY: Haas Ties Tournament Record at Boise, Secures TOUR Card

BOISE, Idaho — Hunter Haas fired a 7-under 64 Sunday to win the Albertsons Boise Open by one stroke and collect his second title of the 2010 Nationwide Tour season. Haas tied the tournament record with his 21-under 263 total to beat 54-hole leader Daniel Summerhays (69) but more importantly assured himself of a trip to the PGA TOUR in 2011.
